I’m a New York-based design strategist and researcher with over a decade of experience driving digital innovation, strategy, CX, and user research.

My Story

Growing up, I was always the curious kid who needed to know ‘why?’! Why do people say one thing but do another? Why did my family, who seemed largely rational, make certain decisions that made no sense? I was born and raised in India amidst a vibrant mosaic of languages, cultures, and beliefs, and trying to decipher the many Indias made for a stellar education in human behavior.

With an MBA specializing in Marketing Communications, I built a foundation in consumer insights and strategy with giants such as Unilever, Burger King, PepsiCo, and Nestlé. I traveled across the country, conducted research in remote villages via translators, and brought back the ‘why’ from the heartlands into boardrooms.

I had the opportunity to serve as head of Marketing for beloved brands such as Diesel, Muji, and Fila. I was not only responsible for devising strategy but also for implementing a seamless omnichannel customer experience. Collaborating with global teams across multiple continents broadened my perspectives on global business operations.

Throughout this journey, I strove to create solutions rooted in empathy and a chance encounter with human-centered design gave me a vocabulary for my life-long beliefs. In 2019, I went back to school to immerse myself in the human-centered approach to innovation at Parsons, NY.  Since then, I’ve applied design strategy for digital transformation across industries such as healthcare, financial services, childcare, and telecom.

The common thread running through all my roles has been balancing the creative and the analytical, divergence and convergence. A storyteller, empathizer, and meaning-maker, I look for shared values among different viewpoints to drive towards common goals.

I’m passionate about fostering communities and bringing together diverse perspectives. From 2021 to 2022, I had the opportunity to co-lead Parsons MSSDM program’s mentorship program. Here are some reflections by me and my co-lead Julia Fiorello on reimagining the mentorship community, grounding it in a gardening mindset.

Outside of work, I look for the creative spark in museums, local markets, and through a prolific range of reading.
